My Story

My Story

My journey into kinesiology started with a deep curiosity about the human body and a desire to help people live more fully. I've seen firsthand how the right movement prescription can change someone's life — not just physically, but in their confidence, independence, and overall wellbeing.

After completing my degree in Kinesiology, I went on to register with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK), committing to the highest standards of practice and ongoing professional development.

I founded Vital Kinematics to offer something different: personalized, evidence-based care that treats you as a whole person — not just a set of symptoms. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or simply wanting to move better, I'm here to build a plan that fits your life.

The Profession

What Is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement. Registered Kinesiologists (R.Kin) are regulated health professionals who assess, treat, and prevent injury and disability through the application of exercise and movement science.

Evidence-Based Practice

Every program is grounded in the latest movement science and tailored to your specific goals and health history.

Regulated Profession

Registered Kinesiologists in BC are regulated by the BCAK and held to strict professional and ethical standards.

Whole-Person Approach

We look beyond symptoms to understand how your lifestyle, history, and goals all connect — then build a plan around you.

Scope of Practice

What Kinesiologists Can Do

As a Registered Kinesiologist, I can help with a wide range of conditions and goals:

Injury Rehabilitation

Design and deliver exercise-based rehabilitation programs for musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain.

Chronic Disease Management

Support individuals living with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, and other chronic conditions through therapeutic exercise.

Functional Movement Assessment

Identify movement limitations, muscle imbalances, and postural issues that may be contributing to pain or reduced performance.

Return to Sport & Activity

Guide athletes and active individuals through safe, progressive return-to-activity protocols after injury or time off.

Active Aging & Fall Prevention

Improve balance, strength, and mobility in older adults to support independence and reduce fall risk.

Adaptive Exercise Programs

Create individualized programs for people with physical disabilities, neurological conditions, or complex health needs.
